Part of what made '22 Jump Street' so magnificently glorious was both the fact that it didn't take itself too seriously (calling itself out on being a money-grabbing reboot) and allowing stars Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill ad lib some genuinely hysterical moments. Cut to the new '22 Jump Street' trailer, which is more safe for work than the original red-band footage but features more of that comedy.

Tatum and Hill reprise their roles as undercover detectives Jenko and Schmidt, and their new mission takes them undercover at a local college -- the next logical progression after a high school job -- to track the source of another drug circuit. Ice Cube, Nick Offerman and even Dave Franco and Rob Riggle reprise their roles for the sequel, though, sadly, not Brie Larson. But there will be Kurt Russell's son, Wyatt!

From Sony Pictures's official synopsis:

After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) when they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. Now they don't have to just crack the case - they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship. If these two overgrown adolescents can grow from freshmen into real men, college might be the best thing that ever happened to them.

'22 Jump Street' hits up theaters this June 13, 2014.
