It's been a solid three years since '24's Jack Bauer had a set number of hours with which to battle terrorists, but it doesn't look like the former CTU agent will be coming out of retirement anytime soon. Even if series star Kiefer Sutherland's schedule frees up in the wake of FOX drama 'Touch's potential cancellation, attached '24' movie director Antoine Fuqua believes the project has been shelved for good. Find out if Jack Bauer could still hit the big screen inside!

'24' may have been a worldwide phenomenon for eight seasons, but Jack Bauer may have truly been lain to rest if new reports of the '24' movie are to be believed. Despite Kiefer Sutherland's past insistence that the film version of FOX's acclaimed counter-terrorism drama, and a reported production start of 2012, director Antoin Fuqua claims the project has since fallen apart, unlikely to be put back together.

Speaking to IndieWire, Fuqua distances himself from the proposed project, saying, “Yeah, that’s not happening. I don’t think it’s gonna happen at all, definitely not with me." Series star Kiefer Sutherland last believed that the '24' movie would shoot on a break before the second season of FOX drama 'Touch,' which itself could soon fall of FOX's radar as well.

Sutherland may well have more to say on the matter in the near future, particularly as the fate of 'Touch' looms, but what say you? Do you believe Antoine Fuqua is right, and too much time has passed for a '24' movie to get off the ground? Would you like to see more adventures with Jack Bauer, or is the series better left alone?
