You know who doesn’t get enough credit on ‘SNL’ sometimes? Longtime cast member Vanessa Bayer. And while we didn’t get a new episode of ‘SNL’ this weekend, Bayer has teamed up with Audi and ‘50 Shades of Grey’ for a delightful spoof of the elevator scene from the trailers—you know, where Dakota Johnson’s Anastasia Steele is nervously riding the elevator to meet Christian Grey for the first time. Only in Bayer’s version, Ana is a little more…proactive.

What makes the video above even more interesting is that Focus and Universal partnered with Audi for the ad, making it an official bit of ‘50 Shades’ marketing, and showing us that the studios definitely have a sense of self-awareness and humor about their product. That’s good, right?

Bayer takes the Johnson role of Ana, and with every new person who hops aboard the elevator, she attempts to awkwardly seduce them with her BDSM gear: handcuffs, a riding crop, and something buzzing in her purse that is decidedly NOT her cell phone. Bayer makes everyone uncomfortable, rubbing against them and suggesting a “menagerie” with a man and a woman because she simply cannot contain all this sexual tension. It’s certainly a wonderful reversal of the gender dynamic from ‘50 Shades’ from one of our favorite ‘SNL’ cast members.

‘50 Shades of Grey’ hits theaters on February 13, and sorry to inform you, but it probably won’t be nearly as hilarious as this ad.
