'Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles' to Machinima

Apart from the ever-growing roster of DC superheros in live-action TV, the delay of 'Batman vs. Superman' to 2016 means it may be awhile yet before we have any kind of new 'Justice League' to root for. Thankfully, Machinima has stepped in with a new three-part animated series for 2015, 'Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles,' tying into the upcoming animated movie of a similar name.

Launching in the spring of 2015, 'Chronicles' follows "a newly conceived reality in the DC universe where Justice League members Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are much darker versions of the superheroes that people know." The digital series will precede the animated 'Justice League: Gods & Monsters' film, as executive produced by DC animation legends Bruce Timm and Alan Burnett, and set for release later in 2015.

Says DC of the project, the first under Warner Bros.’ newly formed digital content production unit:
