The onslaught of Upfronts are officially upon us for 2015, and ABC got the major network ball rolling with good news for Agent Carter, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and The Muppets. There’s plenty good and bad to go around however, as while Once Upon a Time, Fresh Off the Boat and the Shondaland series have been renewed, Forever and others won’t live to see additional seasons.

In addition to Marvel and The Muppets, ABC handed out official renewals to Once Upon A Time, Castle, Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, Nashville, The Goldbergs, Modern Family and The Middle. Newcomers Secrets and Lies, Black-ish, Fresh Off the Boat, How to Get Away With Murder, American Crime and Galavant have all earned pickups as well.

Less fortunate however, were Forever, Cristela, Resurrection, Revenge and The Taste, while Last Man Standing remains on the bubble for the moment. As for new pickups to complement The Muppets, ABC has greenlit Ken Jeong’s Dr. Ken (bad news for Community?) and Martha Plimpton’s The O’Neals.

On the drama side, we have Mireille Enos and Shonda Rhimes’ The Catch, The Family, biblical drama Kings and Prophets, Quantico, ‘80s crime drama Wicked City, and an untitled drama about North Dakota oil drilling.

The madness of Upfronts are only just beginning, but which of ABC’s series deserved their renewals, and which should have been spared the axe?
