It's no secret that Phoenix Wright has had to deal with some pretty bizarre characters in his time as an attorney, but the downloadable content for Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies probably takes the cake.

According to Siliconera, Capcom has announced their plans for both free and paid DLC for Dual Destinies. Currently in Japan, the first batch of free DLC is a set of three costumes that will be available until Aug. 15, 2013. The costume pack includes Phoenix's original suit, a casual getup for Apollo and sailor uniform for Athena.

The second piece of DLC feature a deduction quiz that one takes at the Write Anything Agency office. The quiz will be available in three parts and will have staggered releases throughout August.

The final DLC is a brand new case called "Special Chapter: Turnabout Return" which is a prequel to Dual Destinies and connects the game to Apollo Justice. This will be Phoenix's first case after getting back his lawyer's badge, but it is also one of the most outlandish, since Phoenix will have to defend an orca whose trainer dresses up like a pirate. Make of that what you will.

What do you think of the planned DLC for Dual Destinies? Are you hoping we'll receive the same treatment in North America? Sound off in the comments below and look out for Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies when it's released later this year in the Nintendo eShop.
