Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fans’ Season 5 concerns were alleviated with word of a full fifth order, albeit one relegated to midseason. The Marvel drama suffered another setback with exclusion from Comic-Con 2017, but stars and producers promise S.H.I.E.L.D. a grand return in New York.

S.H.I.E.L.D. fans were quick to notice that Marvel’s Comic-Con 2017 schedule made room for The Inhumans, The Defenders, Legion, The Gifted and more, though Coulson and co. were left in the cold for the first time since 2013. Perhaps worth noting, it was Comic-Con 2016’s flaming chain trolley decoration that first tipped fans off to the arrival of Ghost Rider. Season 5 has not yet cemented many details, though we’ll at least pick up with Coulson amid that guardedly galactic twist ending.

There’s every chance we’ll learn new details of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 5 from Comic-Con regardless, but stay tuned for the latest in the meantime.
