If ever you’re ever worried that you may not being able to complete a difficult task in a limited time, look to Ridley Scott for inspiration. The dude went and reshot part his new movie with an entirely different actor in just nine days (!) only one month (!!) before the film arrives in theaters. Scott hasn’t even finished reshoots yet (they’re expected to wrap today) and Sony already dropped a brand-new trailer, replacing Kevin Spacey with Christopher Plummer. If Scott can finish All the Money In the World in time, you can literally do anything.

After promptly deciding to replace Spacey in the Getty kidnapping biopic following the House of Cards actor’s sexual assault scandal, Scott wasted no time. While you were in a Thanksgiving food coma, the director was reshooting and editing All the Money in the World with Plummer and co-stars Michelle Williams and Mark Wahlberg in London and Rome. Earlier this morning we got a quick look at Plummer’s J. Paul Getty in a brief TV spot and new photo, but no no, that wasn’t enough to show off Scott’s insane work ethic. We now have a full-length trailer with multiple scenes featuring Plummer in place of Spacey. If you, like I, are curious to see the comparison between the original trailer and this one, you can refresh your memory here.

The film details the historic kidnapping of J. Paul Getty’s grandson, John Paul Getty III (Charlie Plummer), and his mother (Michelle Williams) desperately trying to get her father-in-law to pay the ransom. Feast your eyes on the new synopsis:

All the Money In the World follows the kidnapping of 16-year-old John Paul Getty III (Charlie Plummer) and the desperate attempt by his devoted mother Gail (Michelle Williams) to convince his billionaire grandfather (Christopher Plummer) to pay the ransom.  When Getty Sr. refuses, Gail attempts to sway him as her son’s captors become increasingly volatile and brutal.  With her son’s life in the balance, Gail and Getty’s advisor (Mark Wahlberg) become unlikely allies in the race against time that ultimately reveals the true and lasting value of love over money.

When Entertainment Weekly asked Scott how on Earth he was going to pull off this wild feat in time to meet the original release date, the director simply said, “I’ve done it.” And that, my friends, is a level of confidence we all must aspire towards. All the Money in the World will arrive in theaters on December 22 if Scott has to drink all the coffee in Rome to make to happen.
