Amanda Bynes, known for her roles in 'She’s the Man,' 'Easy A', 'What a Girl Wants' and the television show 'What I Like About You,' apparently decided to get her weekend started a little early -- the actress, 26, was arrested for DUI early Friday morning after sideswiping a police car.

The West Hollywood Sheriff's Department said in a report:

"At 3 a.m. on Friday, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy in a marked black and white radio car was stopped at [an] intersection [and] preparing to turn right ... when a black BMW driven by actress Amanda Bynes attempted to pass the right of the radio car, colliding with the right rear quarter panel of the radio car."

Needless to say, drunkenly hitting a cop car will get you arrested with a quickness. Bynes was booked at the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station, with bail set at $5,000.

It's the actress' second scrape (sorry) with the law in roughly a month. In early March, she was pulled over for using her cellphone while driving, but while the officer was writing her a ticket, she decided she'd waited long enough and drove away.

She did eventually find time in her oh-so-busy schedule to swing by the police station and sign the ticket, but authorities are still deciding if she should face charges for beating such a hasty exit.
