'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' has filled the last piece of the casting puzzle. With Mary Jane Watson cast (Shailene Woodley) and Electro cast (Jamie Foxx), the last major role to be filled was that of Harry Osborn. And today director Marc Webb took to Twitter to announce the new addition to the cast.

DeHaan takes over for James Franco, who played Osborn in Sam Raimi's previous trilogy. In those films, the Green Goblin was introduced first as Norman Osborn with Franco only taking up the reigns for the last act of 'Spider-Man 3' and even then, not really as much of a bad guy. But with 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' expected to follow the "Death of Gwen Stacy" storyline (that heavily features the Green Goblin), will we see DeHaan step into the role sooner?

What this means to 'Chronicle 2' remains unseen. It's possible that film will move ahead with an entirely new cast and that DeHaan won't be much of a part of the film.

Filming on 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' is expected to begin next February.
