As you likely heard, 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' screening the UK yesterday. While you can check out some of the early reviews here, one thing a lot of people are asking is about the 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' post-credits scene. Well, we've got some bad news for you: according to all the people in attendance, there isn't one.

Original rumors had it that the sequence glimpsed in the trailer above - with the mysterious, shadowed man from the 'Amazing Spider-Man' post-credits scene walking through the Oscorp hallways - would be the post-credits scene and would serve to introduce the technology behind Doc Ock, Vulture and Venom (thus introducing the Sinister Six). But, that no longer seems to be the case.

According to MSN, whose critic saw 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' in London, everyone in the audience waited for the post-credits scene, which never arrived.

When the credits rolled, most of the audience stuck around, hoping for a teaser sequence. When none came, boos rang throughout the cinema.

Now, it's possible that Sony kept the 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' off the early prints to preserve secrecy. We reached out to Sony and have yet to hear back, but should note that it would be mostly unorthodox. Early prints of 'The Avengers' didn't include the shawarma scene, but that's because it hadn't been filmed yet. We saw 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' about a month before it hit theaters and it included both of the post-credits scenes, one of which has a lot of spoilers/secrets.

We're still trying to get 100% confirmation, but all reports from early screenings seem to indicate that you shouldn't waste 10 minutes sitting through the 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' credits to see anything other than the lights coming up.
