Saving the day, getting the girl, being a good guy -- it's all in a day's work for Peter Parker and his alter ego, Spider-Man. But as director Marc Webb notes in this new featurette for 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2,' Peter's going to learn the hard way in the sequel that he can't have it all because "life doesn't work that way." Webb teases the famous storyline between Peter and girlfriend Gwen Stacy, as well as Spidey's greatest threat yet: the Sinister Six.

In the new featurette, which debuted on EW, Webb talks about the famous relationship plot between Peter and Gwen that began in the comics, which he notes the films have only "flirted" with up until now. It looks like their relationship will be put to the true test as Peter's love/weakness for Gwen is exploited in the sequel. As you'll recall from the end of the first film, Gwen's dad asked Peter to stay away from Gwen, but as we've seen in all the trailers and promos, that's obviously not happening.

Webb also teases the Sinister Six, six deadly villains that Spider-Man will have to face "all at once," which the director says we'll see teased for sure at the end of 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2,' giving us a taste of the danger to come in the third film.

'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' features Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone reprising their roles as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy, respectively, as well as new additions Jamie Foxx as Electro, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn/Green Goblin, and many more. We'll see just how much Peter and Gwen are really threatened, and how their famous comic book story is translated to the big screen, when the film hits theaters on May 2.
