For as much as we look forward to the debut of 'Breaking Bad''s final episodes on Aug. 11, that Sunday will also see the premiere of AMC's new UK-adapted cop drama, 'Low Winter Sun,' starring rumored Lex Luthor Mark Strong. We loved the first trailer for the moody new series, but what can we learn from the first official 'Low Winter Sun' poster?

Granted this new look (courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter) doesn't reveal very much, but who doesn't love a moody Mark Strong gazing pensively off into the distance? Adapted from a 2006 UK miniseries (also featuring Mark Strong) and written and executive produced by Chris Mundy (‘Criminal Minds’), the AMC drama is described as “a contemporary story of murder, deception, revenge and corruption that starts with the murder of a cop by fellow Detroit detective Frank Agnew (Strong).” The murder forever alters the detective’s life by activating forces that pull him deeper into the Detroit underworld.

The series also stars Lennie James (‘The Walking Dead‘) and David Constabile (‘Breaking Bad‘), along with Ruben Santiago-Hudson (‘Castle‘), Sprague Grayden (’24′) and Athena Karkanis (‘The Transporter’). It is believed that ‘Low Winter Sun’ will run 10 episodes in its first season, as opposed to the usual 13 for cable.
