‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ Adds 4 New Photos, Start Date
Finally! The past couple of weeks we've been chomping at the bit to check out the latest from 'American Horror Story' season 2 'American Horror Story: Asylum,' especially given that all the apparent teasers were extremely true to their name. We haven't yet seen any official footage from the series, of even any shots of the large cast in character, so what do we learn from the first official photographs or 'American Horror Story?'
Entertainment Weekly has introduced the first official photos from 'American Horror Story: Asylum,' and they're...well, they're a bit familiar. However creepy, each of the four photos corresponds to one of the disturbing, yet vague teasers glimpsed over the past few weeks. There's our lady in white crrying her eyes out in black, our favorite nun dumping buckets of body parts in the woods, swimming around in the vagina hydrobath, and walking up the stairs while an inmate crawls underneath.
The photos also reveal that 'American Horror Story' Asylum will debut on Wednesday, October 17. Boy, between that, and 'The Walking Dead's start date of October 14, we don't think we'll be getting very much sleep that week.
As we love to remind you, ‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ still boasts an incredible amount of star power, including most recently ‘The Bourne Identity’ actress Franka Potente, ‘The Voice‘ judge and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, ‘Step Up’s Jenna Dewan,‘Carnivale’ star Clea DuVall, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man‘ star Chris Zylka, Americanized ‘Skins’ star Britne Oldford, ‘Big Love’s Chloe Sevigny, French actress Lizzie Brochere, Joseph Fiennes and James Cromwell.
Also returning from the first season are Jessica Lange, upgraded series regular Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe. As previously reported, all will be playing new characters independent of the first season in the show’s rebooted 1960′s asylum setting, which Lange’s character presides over.
