For those of us who were appropriately driven to the brink of insanity by the endless barrage of 'American Horror Story: Asylum' teasers, maddeningly cryptic and devoid of footage, your day has finally come!  Even better than the trailer seen earlier this week, FX's horror thriller has pulled out all the stops in its latest trailer, bloody, sexy and stuffed with new footage and character details.  Are you ready to get committed to 'American Horror Story: Asylum?'

Atheists beware, the second season of Ryan Murphy's horror saga 'American Horror Story' does not take kindly to those lacking belief in the divine.  Just ask the characters of 'American Horror Story: Asylum,' who manage to find themselves committed and experimented on for simply investigating the mysterious Briarcliff Asylum!  We wouldn't want to be caught exploring the grounds with our lovers, either!

The new trailer focuses heavily on lesbian journalist Lana Winters (Sarah Paulson), who finds herself at odds with Jessica Lange's imposing Sister Jude as she tries to investigate the goings-on of the asylum, before long finding herself a patient held against her own will!  There's also plenty of attention given to Joseph Fiennes' sinister Monsignor Timothy Howard, who invests heavily in the power of religion over modern science, though seems to have some dark secrets of his own.

Adam Levine and Jenna Dewan are lovers, all this and more are found in the trailer below, so take a look and tell us what you're most excited to see from 'American Horror Story: Asylum' (premiering Wednesday, October 17) in the comments!
