As much as it seems that our worst fears are being realized, and 'American Horror Story' Asylum' will release a new teaser every day until its October 17 premiere, at least the latest look at season 2 of Ryan Murphy's creepy FX thriller is far less maddening or bizarre than the previous.  We can even tell what's going on!  So, what does the latest pill-popping teaser for 'American Horror Story: Asylum' tell us about the spooky new season?

FX heads once more into the breach as it scares out the latest teaser for 'American Horror Story's second season 'American Horror Story: Asylum,' one that actually makes a modicum of sense!  In the below spot "Taste," we see the clear image of a woman opening her mouth as if to accept Communion, only to instead be treated to a red pill from the hands of a nun!  It isn't 'The Matrix,' or even that creepy all-white nun we've been seeing, but it certainly fits the show's new setting of a 1960's asylum headed by Jessica Lange's Mother Superior character.

More so than a rave, anyway.  Hey, maybe next time we'll get some actual footage!

Debuting on Wednesday, October 1, ‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ boasts a cast that includes ‘The Bourne Identity’ actress Franka Potente, ‘The Voice‘ judge and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, ‘Step Up’s Jenna Dewan,‘Carnivale’ star Clea DuVall, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man‘ star Chris Zylka, Americanized ‘Skins’ star Britne Oldford, ‘Big Love’s Chloe Sevigny, French actress Lizzie Brochere, Joseph Fiennes and James Cromwell.

Also returning from the first season are Jessica Lange, upgraded  series regular Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe. As previously reported, all will be playing new characters independent of the first season in the show’s rebooted 1960′s asylum setting, which Lange’s character presides over.

Check out the teaser below, and tell us when you think the veil will lift on 'American Horror Story: Asylum' in the comments!
