‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ Teasers Didn’t Skip A Day, Don’t Panic

Phew!  You know, for a few hours there, we were honestly worried that ‘American Horror Story: Asylum‘ had run out of its brief, but effective daily teasers promoting the second season of Ryan Murphy’s serial scare-fest, but it turns out today’s was simply a late entry.  So of the nearly two dozen teasers we’ve seen thus far, does the latest offer up a real clue what we’ll see on October 17, or leave us lost in the woods?

The world nearly collapsed today in anticipation of the next ‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ teaser, but thankfully our FX overlords have made things right, albeit a little late in the day.  They even gave us something to go on!  The latest teaser “The Woods,” seems like an eerily peaceful forest scene at first, before a number of figures emerge from the trees all at once, and scamper off in unison!

Though seemingly innocuous, we know the figures to likely be representations of the “Raspers,” genetic experiments of Dr. Arden (James Cromwell)’s, who dwell in the woods surrounding the season’s central local Briarcliff Asylum.  The same mutated creatures are the ones who feed off spare body parts, which we’ve seen Lily Rabe’s Sister Eunice be the one to distribute via bucket on the forest floor.

Apart from the veterans Rabe, Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Frances Conoy, ‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ adds new series stars Franka Potente, ‘The Voice‘ judge and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, ‘Step Up’s Jenna Dewan,‘Carnivale’ star Clea DuVall, ‘Americanized ‘Skins’ star Britne Oldford, ‘Big Love’s Chloe Sevigny, French actress Lizzie Brochere, Joseph Fiennes and James Cromwell.
