‘American Horror Story: Coven’ Teaser Takes Us Six Feet Under

While the other day gave us a clear, if confusing look into 'American Horror Story: Coven' with its shiny new snake poster, yet another baffling teaser has arrived to remind loyal viewers of FX's Emmy-nominated horror drama that hey, sometimes things do things they aren't supposed to. And then something happens, and it's spooky!

The latest look into the witchy third season of 'American Horror Story: Coven' takes us six feet under (not that one, we wish) to show that death is only the beginning, as a woman in a coffin promptly fixes her hair as if waiting for the bus. Or at least, a bulldozer. If anything, the coffin teaser fits with the earlier "Stakes," showing that the 'Coven' witches aren't to be trifled with, as they laugh off whatever deadly situations are thrown at them.

Premiering October 9, we know that the third season will pit witchcraft against voodoo between both present and 1830s New Orleans to tell its terrifying tale. 'American Horror Story: Coven’ will also welcome newcomers Christine Ebersole, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Patti LuPone, Leslie Jordan and Gabourey Sidibe, along with returning franchise regulars Jessica Lange, Denis O’Hare, Alexandra Breckinridge, Lily Rabe, Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy, Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters.
