Where yesterday saw FX's 'American Horror Story' officially adding a 'Freak Show' subtitle for its fourth season, confirming series creator Ryan Murphy's incarnation toward a carnival setting, today we have a more detailed insight, as well as the full cast likely present for Jessica Lange's purported 'American Horror Story: Freak Show' bow.

Via Entertainment Weekly, it seems 'American Horror Story: Freak Show' will indeed take place in 1950 as previously thought, though set in Jupiter, Florida, whether or not production remains in Louisiana as originally discussed. The new 'Freak Show' season will also see Lange as a German ex-patriot running one of the last American freak shows, a cast of rescued “unusuals” that includes 'Coven' and franchise stars Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett and Frances Conroy. Franchise staple Denis O’Hare is also in talks to return, along with 'Coven' newcomer (and Peters' real-life girlfriend) Emma Roberts.

Previously, Murphy specified that series star Jessica Lange had begun work on her German accent, which falls in line with earlier words that “Jessica Lange has always wanted to play a Marlene Dietrich figure, and now she gets to.” Lange also claims the fourth season will be her last with the franchise, while more details are expected to emerge from the upcoming PaleyFest panel.

Given the disaster that 'Coven' turned out to be, it's hard to know exactly what to make of 'Freak Show' just yet, but what say you? Does 'American Horror Story' season 4 sound like the scariest yet? Stay tuned for the latest details, and tell us what you want to see from 'American Horror Story: Freak Show' in the comments!
