'Anchorman 2' is about to begin filming in Atlanta so you can expect to start hearing more and more casting updates as the shoot begins. First up: longtime Will Ferrell co-star John C. Reilly has joined the 'Anchorman 2' cast.

This casting news shouldn't be much of a surprise considering how frequently Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly have worked together with director Adam McKay but indeed, John C. Reilly has joined the cast of 'Anchorman 2.'

Bleeding Cool got their hands on an upcoming casting call for the 'Anchorman 2' shoot in Atlanta where they're looking for a stand-in/double for John C. Reilly. It's unclear what role he'll be playing or how large his part will be in the film but he'll be in there somewhere.

Director McKay previously said he wants a "murderer's row" of funny people in his cast even if they're just day players coming in for a bit part. Considering how revered the original film is, we don't think they'll have a problem getting funny people to join the 'Anchorman 2' cast.

So far the only new cast members that have been officially confirmed are Kristen Wiig (as Brick's new love interest) and James Marsden (as a rival newsman). Those two, plus Reilly, will join Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate and David Koechner in the sequel which hits theaters in December.
