'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues' took viral marketing to an entirely new level tonight when Will Ferrell dropped by a local newscast in North Dakota and helped anchor an entire show! That's right, Ron Burgundy himself co-anchored Bismarck's local CBS news affiliate's evening show -- all 30 minutes of it. It's not joke, either. Ferrell -- or Burgundy, rather -- took the whole thing pretty seriously, but that doesn't mean it's not pretty hilarious to watch!

Ferrell has been getting in character as Burgundy lately to help promote the upcoming release of 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.' We've seen him in those amazing Dodge ads, hocking the company's new Durango (with the help of a horse, in some cases), and he's provided commentary for a Canadian curling event. He's also appeared on late night talk shows in character, but this is more in Burgundy's wheelhouse, doing what he does best: reporting the news.

Of course, you can also see him do what he does best when the film hits theaters on Christmas and Ferrell is joined by returning cast members Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, and Christina Applegate. The film also stars Kristen Wiig, Harrison Ford, and James Marsden, as well as a wealth of awesome celebrity cameos. Until then, you stay classy, Bismarck, North Dakota.
