Though the movie isn't going to start shooting until sometime next year, the excitement for 'Anchorman 2' is palpable, and so director Adam McKay got the Channel 4 news team together to make a teaser trailer. The good news is the teaser will be hitting theaters (and the internet) next week when it will be attached to Sacha Baron Cohen's 'The Dictator.'

Collider got the inside info from someone who saw the teaser, and it's made up of footage of Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, and David Koechner back together as their 'Anchorman' characters talking about returning. The biggest news from it as that the title may eventually be 'Anchorman: The Legend Continues' and that there's a 2013 release date on the teaser, which means that the film will likely be hitting theaters around Christmas next year.

What's thrilling about this is the idea of shooting footage exclusively for a teaser is a concept that's gone away, but was always fun. Usually this was done for event films like 'Jurassic Park,' 'Terminator 2' and the American version of 'Godzilla.'In fact we'd say this 'Godzilla' teaser was better than the finished film:

The most famous of these would be the 'Spider-Man' teaser, which had our web-slinger wrapping up villains between the World Trade Center - a teaser that was pulled from the market after September 11.

But we'd say getting any new footage of the news teams is enough to get excited over. We'll post the teaser as soon as it hits the web.
