In a famous scene from the first 'Anchorman' movie, the Channel 4 news team had a throw down of the words with the competing Evening News team led by Vince Vaughn's Wes Mantooth. As each side threw shade at the other, Champ (David Koechner) made a remark about Wes' mother, causing the phrase, "Dorothy Mantooth is a saint," to be repeated by fans for years to come.

Now Funny or Die has gone ahead and dramatized the repercussions of Champ taking Wes' mom, Dorothy, out for a nice seafood dinner and never calling her again -- in 'The People's Court'!

It's "Champ Kid vs. Dorothy Mantooth" in this spoof sketch featuring Koechner's 'Anchorman' character and the lovely Cloris Leachman as the titular mother. Shot in an old timey, grainy resolution, this sketch sees these two scorned lovers duking it out in mock court, Mantooth suing for emotional damages worthy of $5,000, but things slowly start taking a turn for the worse. Who wins in the end?

Koechner reprised his role of Champ Kid for 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues,' which saw the Channel 4 news team heading to the Big Apple to work for a 24-hour news network. Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, Christina Applegate, Vince Vaughn and more returned for the affair, while a butt load of new blood, like Harrison Ford and James Marsden, entered the ring.

'Anchorman 2' is now playing in theaters, and you can watch the new spinoff sketch from Funny or Die in the video above.
