A new application, called Animal Crossing Plaza, is now available for Animal Crossing: New Leaf fans to use on the Wii U, letting them connect with other fans.

Animal Crossing Plaza is a service that allows fans to interact with Animal Crossing players from around the world through the Miiverse community. Players will be able to roam around the space in order to exchange info, converse and even show off their favorite images.

Players will be able to share their images and custom design QR codes with others, as well as add messages for others to read. Some fan-favorite characters can also be found wandering the plaza and players can select them in order to feature the animals in a post to the Miiverse community.

The Animal Crossing Plaza will be available up until the end of 2014, so go out there and start making some international friends!
