If you’d like to save a little surprise for yourself when you see Ant-Man next month, then consider this a fair warning — this post contains a spoiler for Marvel’s next superhero film. Although we’re not likely to see any MCU crossovers in Ant-Man, there is one more hero that will make an appearance in the film, albeit very briefly, and it’s someone fans have been wondering about since the film was announced.

As Collider reports, we will get to see Wasp in Ant-Man after all — though not exactly as you might expect. Hank Pym’s wife (and Hope Van Dyne’s mother) Janet Van Dyne puts in a small appearance during a flashback scene, which helps explain some of Pym’s feelings about S.H.I.E.L.D., which he blames for whatever happens to her — did she die or disappear? That’s not clear, but whatever it is, Pym has grown to resent superheroes because of it. That should feed a bit into where the MCU is heading with Captain America: Civil War and Phase 3.

Janet Van Dyne, aka Wasp, shares her husband’s ability to shrink down in size, but she can also fly and shoot energy blasts at her enemies. It’s possible we could see her in a future film, and given Evangeline Lilly’s role as her daughter, we might also see Hope take up her mother’s mantle eventually.

Ant-Man also stars Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Corey Stoll, Judy Greer and Michael Pena, and hits theaters on July 17.
