‘Arrow’ “Time of Death” Sneak Peek: First Look at Robert Knepper as DC’s Clock King

The CW’s ‘Arrow‘ (now renewed for season 3!) has a tendency to stumble with one-off DC villains, Katrina Law‘s recent appearance as “Heir to the Demon”s Nyssa al Ghul not withstanding, but can the DC drama do the Clock King justice with ‘Prison Break’ baddie Robert Knepper? Find out in our first look at the Clock King from ‘Arrow”s February 26 return, “Time of Death”!

You won’t find any time stopping (a la ‘Batman: The Animated Series’) or even the familiar clock hands on the villain’s glasses, but ‘Arrow”s incarnation of the character seems every bit as deadly with his multiple watches and precise sense of timing that aid in a crime spree. The DC villain ends up attacking multiple banks throughout the city, for which Oliver and the newly freed Canary (Caity Lotz) must pair up to thwart.

Here’s how The CW describes ‘Arrow”s February 26 installment:

“Time of Death”

ROBERT KNEPPER AND ALEX KINGSTON GUEST STAR — Oliver (Stephen Amell) brings Sara (Caity Lotz) into the Arrow team. Watching Oliver and Diggle (David Ramsey) spar with Sara and talk old scars, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) starts to feel left out.

The team is investigating a villain named William Tockman, a.k.a. The Clock King (guest star Robert Knepper), who is a brilliant thief armed with technology that can open any bank vault in Starling City. After The Clock King infiltrates the computer systems in the lair, Felicity feels pressure to prove her worth. When she gets a lead on Tockman’s whereabouts, she heads out without the team, putting her in peril.

Meanwhile, Oliver throws Sara a welcome home party, but Laurel (Katie Cassidy) refuses to attend. After Lance (Paul Blackthrone) makes his case for a family dinner, Laurel acquiesces, but when Oliver shows up with Sara, she loses her temper on both of them.

Of course, there’s still plenty of drama fallout from the previous installment if the Clock King isn’t up to the task, but in the meantime, check out the photos below and tell us what you think! Will Robert Knepper bring his trademark creepiness to the role or give us a new take on one of DC’s underrated villains?
