Last night's 'Arrow' installment "Corto Maltese" took us out of Starling City for the next layer of mystery to season 3, but next week's "The Magician" will see a whole knew threat rising as Matt Nable first appears in the role of legendary DC baddie Ra's al Ghul! See what the immortal (ish) Batman villain looks like in our first footage from next week's 'Arrow' installment!

As released with last night's "Corto Maltese," the first full trailer of "The Magician" teases a few new looks at the League of Assassins figurehead, as portrayed by 'Riddick' star Matt Nable. So far, it seems as if Nyssa (Katrina Law) will be the one to actually interact with the character, as Oliver wrestles with the notion of whether or not to break his no-killing vows and eliminate Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) once and for all.

Says The CW of next week's "The Magician":

NYSSA RETURNS TO STARLING CITY, RA’S AL GHUL MAKES HIS ENTRANCE

A furious Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law) confronts Oliver (Stephen Amell) about Sara. When Oliver learns Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) is alive, he suspects Merlyn killed Sara. Oliver and Nyssa join forces and go after the Dark Archer, intent on bringing Sara’s killer to justice. Laurel (Katie Cassidy) keeps her distance from Nyssa, as she blames her sister’s death on her involvement with the League of Assassins.

Meanwhile, Oliver and Roy (Colton Haynes) work on repairing their respective relationships with Thea (Willa Holland), who has returned home. Nyssa discusses Oliver with her father, Ra’s al Ghul (guest star Matt Nable).

It remains to be seen how 'Arrow' season 3 will incorporate Ra's overall, considering his status among an unseen Batman's rogues gallery, but what do you think? Will Matt Nable live up to the likes of Liam Neeson before him? Check out some new looks at Ra's al Ghul'in the extended "Magician" trailer above, as well as the full set of photos below, and give us your predictions in the comments!
