New ‘Arrow’ Season 3 Premiere Photos Reveal Ray Palmer, Arsenal, Vertigo and More
Yesterday gave us some spiffy new 'Arrow' season 3 casting in the form of 'Spartacus' vet Nick Tarabay's Captain Boomerang, but why stop there? The CW DC drama has released its full set of premiere photos from October 8 debut "The Calm," introducing our new Ray Palmer, Vertigo, and Roy's Arsenal costume before the storm of season 3 finally hits!
Adding to the ranks of the original four 'Arrow' season 3 photos, our newest look at "The Calm" shows off a few better shots of Colton Haynes new "Arsenal" costume, as Roy Harper takes a more central role in Oliver's superheroism outfit. Elsewhere, Peter Stormare puts in his first appearance as the new Count Vertigo, and Brandon Routh fills out a suit (as Brandon Routh is wont to do) as DC's Ray Palmer / The Atom.
Meanwhile, here's how The CW describes 'Arrow' season 3:
In the aftermath of victory, Season Three opens with Arrow now a hero to the citizens of Starling. Crime is down, people feel safer, and Captain Lance even calls off the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Basking in his success, Oliver believes he can finally have a private life and asks Felicity out on a date. But the second Oliver takes his eye off the ball, a deadly villain reappears in Starling, forcing Oliver to realize that he can never be Oliver Queen – not as long as the city needs The Arrow.
Most recently adding Matt Nable as DC baddie Ra's al Ghul, 'Arrow' season 3 has also recruited J.R. Ramirez as DC superhero Wildcat, David Cubitt as DC's Manhunter, Matt Ward as Komodo, Amy Gumenick as DC's Cupid and 'Glee''s Nolan Funk as Felicity's flashback boyfriend. Additionally, 'Real Steel’ star Karl Yune will play Oliver’s flashback Hong Kong handler alongside Rila Fukushima as DC's Katana, having replaced Devon Aoki. Departed series stars Caity Lotz and Colin Donnell will also return for early episodes this season.
October 8 seems criminally far away, but in the meantime check out the latest 'Arrow' season 3 photos below, and tell us what you want to see when "The Calm" precedes the storm next month!
