The pirate's life is a busy one according to the latest trailer for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. With so much looting and fighting to do, it's a wonder Kenway has time for anything else.

Ubisoft has been spending a lot of time pushing hard to promote its bigger game releases of the year like Rayman Legends, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, and Assassin's Creed 4. Though none of the games will release until August at the earliest, the developer is making sure to keep each property at the front of gamers' minds.

The latest gameplay trailer for Black Flag shows a lot of variation in day-to-day life of protagonist Edward Kenway. The Golden Age of Pirates is a welcome setting for the sequel, which is putting a much bigger focus on the open waters and jungles of the Caribbean. No longer confined to sprawling cities, players should find lots of adventure and trouble awaiting them on the high seas.

It's still questionable how much longer the market will support yearly releases for the Assassin's Creed franchise, but as long as Ubisoft continues changing the formula from game to game, we're willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Check out the footage below, and let us know whether or not you think the life of a pirate is for you.
