Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD Trailer: Aveline Goes High-Def
Former PS Vita exclusive Assassin's Creed: Liberation will be coming to consoles next year when it gets an HD refresh.
Like so many portable titles before it, Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD will get a graphical upgrade and revamped controls before it hits the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in 2014. Curiously, there's no Wii U version planned, even though you would think a Vita game would translate well to the Nintendo console with a touch-screen.
Most of the game will remain the same, though there will be new missions and a remasted soundtrack to bring Liberation fully into the high-def era. The original Vita version wasn't a bad game, though it did lack the depth of narrative the console Assassin's Creed titles had. The move to bring Liberation to consoles isn't all that surprising given Ubisoft's penchant for timed exclusivity on many of its recent titles (Rayman Legends, for example).
Check out the trailer above, and keep an eye out for updates right here for when and where you'll be able to get Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD on your console of choice.
