Winging It Works Wonders For Marvel Legends’ ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Figures
Though Hasbro has many different ways for Marvel fans to enjoy their favorite characters, the Marvel Legends brand is the flagship series for devout collectors. For years now, Marvel Legends has been the home of Hasbro's deepest roster, figures with the most articulation, and the most unexpected build-a-figure toys at retail. Spider-Man has already been a major part of the Legends brand, with at least one wave per year. This year's release of Spider-Man: Homecoming gave the webslinger the expected movie-themed wave, but also included one of Hasbro's latest experiments: a build-an-accessory. It's a gamble that pays off with a completed collection, but all the individual figures are worth the price of admission any way.
Behold the Almighty ’Star Wars‘ And Disney Funko SDCC 2017 Exclusives
It wouldn't be a San Diego Comic-Con without a massive booth from Funko full of all sorts of exclusives. The vinyl figure company has its hands in just about every single license on the planet, but some have proven to be much more popular than others. Case in point, the wide variety of Disney characters that disappear from shelves faster than milk and bread in a blizzard. It also helps that now Disney can count everyone from Star Wars under its umbrella, giving Funko a tremendous one-two punch when combined with the more animated side of the Mouse House. That goes double when it comes to SDCC exclusive items.
Toys R Us and Entertainment Earth Team For Some Diverse SDCC 2017 Exclusives
For the past few years, Toys R Us and Entertainment Earth have teamed up to offer a select number of Comic-Con exclusives to the public that couldn't make it to the show itself. This year, the two retailers are again teaming up for a series of varied toys and collectibles that would otherwise be unavailable to anyone outside of San Diego. Mixing things up with Hasbro, Funko, Playmates and more, this year's offerings bring a very diverse grouping that collectors will more than be happy to snap up from the comforts of their own homes.
NECA’s SDCC 2017 Exclusives Won’t Cut the Competition No Slack
For the past few years, only a handful of merchandisers could rightfully lay claim to having one of the best San Diego Comic-Con exclusive items. With dozens of different companies all vying for that top spot, the competition was absolutely fierce. However, in that great big mix of exclusives, one company constantly found itself topping nearly every toy fanatic's list. NECA has been on a major roll as of late, and with this year's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, Predator and Aliens offerings, its grip on the Comic-Con crown doesn't look like it will loosen.
Funko Brings All The Marvel And DC Pops You Can Handle to SDCC 2017
Since exploding onto the scene, Funko has been one of the most dominant exclusive providers at just about every convention this side of our solar system. San Diego Comic-Con is still a special beast though, and is home to something like 100 different exclusives from the vinyl figure company this year. Of course, Funko has a range of collectible items these days, and both Marvel and DC Comics have a great bit of exposure across all of Funko's various items at this year's event.
NECA‘s Ultimate Jungle Hunter Predator Was Worth The 30-Year Wait
Over the last six years, NECA's been busy releasing as many Predator action figures as humanly possible, and is coming up on its 18th wave based on the franchise. There have been several different versions of the Jungle Hunter Predator in those assortments, but to commemorate the pearl anniversary, the company has released a special "ultimate" edition of the OG Predator. Complete with multiple portraits, hands, and accessories, NECA's latest Jungle Hunter is the kind of figure fans of the series have deserved since 1987.

Hasbro’s ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Figures Help You Build a Better Hulk
Casting Cate Blanchett in just about anything makes it worth watching, but when you put her in the helm of the baddest lady in Asgard, all. Bets. Are. Off. To make her casting even more exciting, Hasbro is releasing an action figure based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe incarnation of Hela to flesh out the Thor: Ragnarok action figure wave. Along with Thor, Vakyrie, Loki, and a few comic-inspired figures, you'll be able to build your very own Gladiator Hulk. With this line, the hits just keep coming.
Batman Gets All The Best Toys in The First LEGO ‘Justice League’ Sets
Before the Justice League teams up this fall, you'll be able to catch them working hard to stop Darkseid's forces in a new DC Super Heroes collection from Lego. In August, three new sets will give us our first chance to live out some of Justice League's potential action scenes in Atlantis, some tunnels, and what looks like Superman's Arctic home away from home.
Time Keeps on Slipping in ‘LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2’ [Preview]
I honestly didn't know how badly I wanted to see one of Jack Kirby's Celestials in Lego form until I played Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2. It was amazing to see such an iconic design rendered in the block form Lego is known for without losing any of that Kirby aesthetic. Just the opening moments of the demo at E3 left me in awe, and for that reason alone I'm excited to play more Lego Super Heroes 2. Good for this game, there are plenty more reasons to be excited too.
