Here’s why you should hate Mike Sampson, the editor-in-chief of ScreenCrush, even though he’s a good guy and a good boss: Last night, Mike was one of the first people on Earth-616 to see Avengers: Age of Ultron. He and a select group of journalists (which did not include me, dammit) saw Marvel’s much-anticipated sequel ahead of this weekend’s big Avengers press junket. For this, he deserves our jealousy, or envy, and our deep, abiding hatred. Let it flow out of you. Yes, doesn’t that feel good?

Full reviews for the film are embargoed for another couple weeks, but press were allowed to tweet their reactions to the movie. I’ve embedded as many as I could find here for your perusal but, to summarize, this was the gist: “SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE.” I mean, yeah, they had nice things to say about Joss Whedon’s work, and they really liked Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye this time, but generally, it was just one big nerdgasm.

Avengers: Age of Ultron opens on May 1.
