Yesterday saw the release of a new Avengers 2 poster focusing solely on Iron Man. It was a welcome break from the earlier, overcrowded Avengers 2 poster. At the time, Robert Downey, Jr. promised a “big announcement” on March 5, and while we still don't know what that announcement will be, it looks like we'll be getting new Avengers 2 posters each day as a countdown. Today, we have another new poster featuring Hulk doing what Hulk does best — Hulking out.

As we noted yesterday, the time between yesterday’s cryptic Robert Downey, Jr. tease and March 5 would be enough time to debut new Avengers 2 posters for Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Nick Fury, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch leading up to this big announcement (feel free to swap in Vision for Nick Fury if you're optimistic). Mark Ruffalo revealed the Hulk poster on his Twitter account, but sadly failed to back it up with any bold promises of future excitement.

The Avengers 2 marketing campaign is ramping up (the movie is remarkably just two months away) and in addition to these new posters, we can tell you we'll have some more from our visit to the set this Friday and next Tuesday, March 3. There will be some interesting new details to divulge, which is probably all that we're allowed to say at this point.

We're also expecting a new, final Avengers 2 trailer to drop in the next week or so, likely in advance of an official debut in theaters with Disney's Cinderella. (How's this for corporate synergy: a new Frozen short film and the new Avengers trailer in front of the Cinderella reboot.)

You can check out both of the Avengers 2 character posters below, and check back tomorrow for even more from the film.

When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

Avengers 2 opens in theaters on May 1.
