'The Avengers' are set to appear at the 2013 Oscars, and not just because they're nominated. The show's producers announced today that five members of the superhero team will be presenting an award during the ceremony. Fly over the break to find out who!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Robert Downey, Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo and Chris Evans will all appear on stage together at some point during the ceremony to present an award. (Which award is unsure as of right now.) Seems as though Scarlett Johansson and Chris Hemsworth have been left off the guest list for undetermined reasons. (It's possible that Hemsworth is busy with 'Thor: The Dark World' in London.)

'The Avengers' received just one Oscar nomination, Best Visual Effects, and would appear to have the edge there, although you can never be certain. If it turns out that the 'Avengers' are presenting the Visual Effects Award, it would be mighty awkward if the film doesn't win it. (That's simply speculation, of course.)

The 2013 Oscars will take place on February 24th at 7pm ET.
