'The Avengers' Blu-ray doesn't come out until September 25th but that doesn't mean we can't start previewing some of the awesome content on the 4-disc set. Yesterday we had our first look at a deleted scene from 'The Avengers' and today we get a look at what happens when the 'Avengers' have had a long day and start goofing around. Yup, it's the 'Avengers' gag reel.

The clip starts with Robert Downey, Jr. who breaks in the middle of a scene with Gwyneth Paltrow and references the classic blooper reel from 'Smokey and the Bandit.' From there the 'Avengers' gag reel takes off to the tunes of Jerry Reed's 'Eastbound and Down' and features all manner of superheroes not looking very heroic. (Our favorite part is watching Chris Hemsworth try - and fail miserably - to catch Mjolnir during a climactic battle sequence.)

We were on the set of 'The Avengers' while it was filming and can confirm that it was really hot (inside an un-air conditioned warehouse in the middle of the New Mexico desert) and the mood wasn't always this light but it's good to see the cast and crew having some fun.

Take a look at the 'Avengers' gag reel below and stay tuned for more coverage from 'The Avengers' DVD and Blu-ray release as September 25th approaches.
