It’s been a couple of years since we were delighted by The World’s End, but we’re finally getting another new movie from Edgar Wright: the curiously titled Baby Driver, with Divergent star Ansel Elgort in the leading role. Joining Elgort in the film is Lily James, star of this year’s surprisingly wonderful and enchanting live-action Cinderella.

Per Variety, James has joined the cast of Baby Driver in a leading role opposite Elgort, who broke out with roles in films like The Fault in Our Stars and the Divergent series. Elgort plays the protagonist in Wright’s new film, which centers on a young getaway driver who uses the sounds of his very own curated playlist to enhance his exceptionally speedy driving skills. He soon finds himself recruited by a crime boss and dealing with the dangerous fallout from a failed heist.

James will play the female lead in the film, although that’s the only real detail we have about her role for now. The former Downton Abbey star recently gave a rather charming performance in Cinderella, further cementing her status as a rising star.

Wright is writing and directing Baby Driver, his first film since 2013's The World’s End. He’s also reportedly set to direct an adaptation of the YA sci-fi novel Grasshopper Jungle.
