The original ABC series debuted in January of 1966, running for three seasons and a total of 120 episodes. At first, the network plotted Batman as an hour-long series, before breaking into half-hours, and coining the famous “Same Bat-time, same Bat-channel” as a cliffhanger for that week’s events.
