Rather than create an entirely new Batmobile or simply modernize the caped crusader’s more classic model, Zack Snyder basically took the tumbler from Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy and combined it with the vague shape of the retro model for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. We got a peek at the tumbler last year via the first official photo of Ben Affleck’s brooding Batman, but now you can get a more thorough look at the hero’s super-vehicle with this new footage.

JoBlo posted the B-roll footage of the tumbler from Batman v Superman — there’s no sound, but the video gives you a complete, up-close look at Batman’s favorite mode of transportation (I dunno, I’m partial to the Batboat myself), even taking you under the hood for a peek at the vehicle’s intricate design. All the grease heads out there should be plenty thrilled about this.

Snyder’s Batmobile is definitely tumbler-esque. It’s bulky and tank-like, and looks as though it can sustain — and deploy — some serious damage. But the general shape of it is also slightly reminiscent of the classic Batmobile, combining the best of both worlds. Maybe. I’m not sure I’m totally in love with this thing, but I look forward to seeing it in action.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Jeremy Irons and Jesse Eisenberg, and hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
