Battlefield fans who are worried about losing their stats if they make the transition from playing Battlefield 4 on current-gen systems to the next-gen consoles needn't worry, since DICE will allow them to transfer their stats and progress.

According to a post on the PlayStation Blog, your stats will be safe as you make the transition from PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4. This was confirmed by DICE Community Manager, Vincent Vukovic.

The news was also confirmed on the Xbox Wire, meaning everyone can rest easy knowing that their stats will join them.

This means that your dogtags, achievement progression, kit unlock progress, rank and multiplayer stats will carry over safely. Vukovic also announced that Battlefield 4 will also feature a Premium membership that will net players "themed digital expansion packs, weekly content and personalization options."

As with the stats, Premium memberships will also carry over to the next-gen consoles. What do you think of this news? Does it allay your fears? Let us know in the comments below and look out for Battlefield 4 when it's released on Oct. 29 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions to follow later in the year.
