Most players would probably say that they don't play Battlefield games for the story and that they like to jump right into the multiplayer portion of the game. But if you happen to like single-player campaigns, then you might be interested in finding out Battlefield 4's story.

A post on the Battlefield Blog runs down the single-player campaign's story, giving us some juicy details on the narrative. We'll step int the shoes of Sergeant Daniel Recker, a member a group called the Tombstone squad. We can only awesome that these dudes eat bullets for breakfast and spit out excellence.

The story takes you from a mission in which you collect intel from a Russian General in Baku, Azerbaijan, to a ship called the USS Valkyrie, and all the way to Shanghai. Things aren't peachy in China since martial law has just been declared, so you must fight your way out of the city and back on board the Valkyrie before she takes off her Singapore. At this point, anything goes in Singapore as the ship is sunk and you're left to fend for yourself.

Sounds exciting, huh? It's just one aspect of the game you'll have to look forward to when Battlefield 4 is released for Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3 on Oct. 29. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions will be released later in the year.
