'Beware the Batman' In New Character SheetsKevin Fitzpatrick |
With all the talk flying around Marvel these days, from new 'Iron Man 3' sneak peeks, to the live-action 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' TV series, it's been a good while since we've heard anything on the DC side! Well, no longer! It might be on the side of the small screen, but Cartoon Network's upcoming animated series 'Beware the Batman' might just give us our fix while we wait for news of the caped crusader's big-screen future. So how would you like to get up close with the character design, including villains and a bad-ass Alfred?
Not that we don't always 'Beware the Batman,' but we'll be sure to mind his friends as well according to the new character sheets from Cartoon Network's upcoming animated series 'Beware the Batman.' The first images below (via ComicsAlliance) highlight not only the big bat himself, but also sidekicks Katana, and much more proactive (and burly) Alfred, who tags a long with his own particular brand of bowler hat justice.
Since the series largely eschews Batman's typical rogues gallery, you can also catch a first look at primary villains Professor Pyg and Mr. Toad, with data on each character as well. Interesting to note is that the initial posters featured Alfred wielding twin pistols, though his character has now been listed as preferring a pulse rifle. In earlier reports we learned that some of the weapon designs would change on account of the Aurora shootings' connection to the Batman franchise.
Check out the character designs below, and tell us in the comments if you'll 'Beware the Batman' when the show debuts next year!
