Though 'Jayne Mansfield's Car' isn't the first time Billy Bob Thornton has dipped his feet in the director's pool (he helmed 'Sling Blade' back in 1996, and 'All the Pretty Horses' in 2000), it's been over a decade since he's been behind the director's chair, and now there's a trailer for his latest film.

His latest directing effort is a drama centering on two families who have to interact when the untimely death of a loved one brings them together. And yes, somewhere in the story they end up encountering the iconic car that's stated in the title, which you can see in the trailer. The movie has a large cast that includes Billy Bob Thornton, Kevin Bacon, Robert Duvall, Robert Patrick, Frances O'Connor, John Hurt and Ray Stevenson.

We're really curious to see how exactly 'Jayne Mansfield's Car' will play out in its entirely. From the trailer (which you can see below courtesy of Collider), it appears like we're going to embark on a very heavy family drama, which could go either way. But you can't ignore a movie with such a big and talented cast behind it. It's impossible. So go ahead and take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think of it.

'Jayne Mansfield's Car' will be out hopefully at some point this year.
