They told us never to mess with the Chicken Man.  And even with half a face, Giancarlo Esposito is about to let the post-apocalyptic landscape know who the man is.

TVLine reports that former 'Breaking Bad and' current 'Once Upon a Time' star Giancarlo Esposito has nabbed a role in J.J. Abrams' forthcoming NBC pilot 'Revolution,' a post-apocalyptic tale of survival and the struggle to reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy mysteriously vanish.  Of course a world without energy would mean that people couldn't exist either, but we're not about to start nitpicking now.

According to the report, Giancarlo Esposito will play Capt. Neville, "a hard-as-steel military man with a genteel southern manner who may not always be what he seems."  The pilot comes from acclaimed director and producer J.J. Abrams, as well as 'Supernatural' creator Eric Kripke, and will be directed by film director Jon Favreau.

Giancarlo currently maintains a recurring gig on ABC's 'Once Upon a Time' as Sidney / The Magic Mirror, will be seen in an upcoming episode of 'Community' as one of Pierce's business associates, and his best remembered as the villainous (and ultimately faceless) Gus Fring of 'Breaking Bad.'  No word on what will happen to Esposito's 'Once Upon a Time' role if indeed 'Revolution' is picked up to series.

What say you, 'Breaking Bad' fans?  Does the addition of Giancarlo Esposito to the hotly-anticipated new pilot pique your interest, or just plain blow you away?  Stay tuned for the latest from J.J. Abrams' 'Revolution!'
