Considering we haven't reached July yet (though this heat has us thinking otherwise), any number of intriguing developments on 'Breaking Bad' Season 5 could crop up in advance of its July 15 premiere.  We'll take all the photos, posters and trailers we can get, but one new bit of casting definitely has us intrigued.  We want to know, who's the mysterious new femme fatale in Walter White's World?

Entertainment Weekly announced today that 'Breaking Bad' season 5 has had an "important" bit of casting in Scottish actress Laura Fraser, who will join the series starting with the July 22 sophomore episode "Madrigal."  According to the report from series creator Vince Gilligan, Fraser will play a “former associate of Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) who’s integral to the proceedings of season 5,” as well as someone who is “nervous about her place in the world.”

Fraser is the most significant casting to arise from 'Breaking Bad's fifth season, who much earlier cast former 'Friday Night Lights' and 'Battleship' star Jesse Plemons as a mysterious blue-collar man who provides aid to Walter and Jesse.  Fraser’s previous credits include the films 'Boys Don’t Cry' and 'Titus,' as well as the BBC series 'Neverwhere' and 'Lip Service.'

So, what do we think?  A new business partner to finance Jesse Pinkman and Walter White's renewed operation?  Gus' unseen wife?  Either way, we'll be over here foaming at the mouth for new 'Breaking Bad' until July 15, or in the case of those at Comic-Con 2012, July 14.
