Did anyone really think Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch, wouldn’t live to see the end credits of Avengers: Age of Ultron? Of course not. However, now we have confirmation from Olsen herself, who revealed that she not only survives her first Marvel movie outing, she’s already prepping her second. Yep, the Scarlet Witch is going to have to pick a side in Captain America: Civil War.

While participating in a Q&A with writer/director Joss Whedon (via CBM), Olsen revealed that she will be reporting for duty on the set of Captain America: Civil War in just two weeks. “I guess I'm allowed to talk about that now,” Olsen said, her eyes watching the horizon for those highly trained Disney snipers tasked with keeping actors from saying too much.

Marvel hasn’t released any kind of official confirmation about her casting, but it certainly makes sense. The Scarlet Witch is an Avengers mainstay in the comics, so of course she’s going to be hanging around for awhile as part of the ongoing superhero line-up. And then there’s the fact that the new Captain America movie is really Avengers 2.5, with a cast that includes Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, Anthony Mackie’s Falcon and Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther. Can we safely assume that Paul Bettany’s Vision will also put in an appearance? Probably.

So here’s your next big nerd debate: which side is the Scarlett Witch going to pick in the upcoming superhero throwdown? Is she Team Tony Stark or Team Steve Rogers?

Captain America: Civil War is set for May 6, 2016.
