Ahead of its October 18 release, the 'Carrie' remake, starring Chloe Moretz as Carrie White and Julianne Moore as her religious mother, has unleashed a new featurette, complete with brand-new footage.

Based on the classic Stephen King novel, which was already adapted into a film version in 1976 with Sissy Spacek in the title role, 'Carrie' centers on a telekinetically powered loner, who's tormented by her classmates and heavily sheltered by her mentally unstable mother. When one prank goes too far at prom, she finally unleashes her dormant power.

"It's psychologically mind blowing," says Moretz in the featurette, premiering on Total Film, "that you're not just being terrified, it messes with your mind." Those of us who've read or even heard of the book or previous film already know what's coming, but this new adaptation "makes you feel like Carrie."
