In all the chaos and commotion of Marvel's announcement toward Netflix TV series for 'Daredevil,' 'Jessica Jones,' 'Iron Fist' and 'Luke Cage,' it became difficult to separate truth from rumor. Now, with 'Daredevil' the first in line for our 'Defenders,' Marvel has confirmed ‘LOST‘ executive producer and ‘The Cabin in the Woods’ helmer Drew Goddard to take the reigns of the 'Daredevil' TV series.

Yesterday brought the news that Netflix's original political thriller, 'House of Cards,' would debut its entire second season on Valentine's Day 2014 (all romantic evenings should involve Kevin Spacey and a Southern accent). While the announcement was short on new material, today 'House of Cards' has a stylish new poster to make up for it.

Netflix caused a bit of a surprise this week in announcing that their original 'Turbo' TV series would mark the first of its original programming to not debut all at once, but its prized 'House of Cards' needn't worry about an interrupted return. The Kevin Spacey-Robin Wright political thriller has set its official season 2 return for 2014, along with a new teaser for the smoky future ahead!

It just won't die! That's right, AMC's rain-drenched murder-mystery drama 'The Killing' has once again been saved from cancellation for a fourth season, though not by its original network. Following its lucrative partnership to co-finance the third season, Netflix will become the new home for 'The Killing' season 4, providing a shortened and final season for detectives Holder and Linden.

FX's spinoff network FXX has proven something of a challenge for the company in its initial months, recently forcing 'Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell' into an early grave, but it seems the cable network offshoot will finally start turning some major heads. 'The Simpsons' has licensed their first 24 seasons to FXX in a major syndication deal that will also see America's favorite animated family available on demand for the very first time.

'Orange is the New Black' fans were heartbroken to learn that season 2 would feature far less of Laura Prepon's character Alex Vause, some reports claiming figures as low as a solitary episode. Now, with season 2 still on track for 2014, a new report suggests that Prepon will in fact return for four episodes total, even allowing an open-ended return in season 3.

It's been a good long while since we've heard anything from the front of 'Lilyhammer,' what with discussions of Netflix's more breakout original entries like 'House of Cards' and 'Orange Is the New Black.' The efficacy of Netflix's model of releasing entire original series at once has yet to be proven, but it seems Amazon has decided to split the difference when it comes to debuting its first original series 'Alpha House' and 'Betas' over the coming month.
