CBS Sets Fall 2013 Premiere Dates With an Hour-Long ‘How I Met Your Mother’ Debut

The Upfronts may have passed us by with all of the major networks unveiling their 2013-14 lineups, but CBS has jumped ahead in the 2013 race by releasing its full fall premiere schedule. The new CBS lineup will premiere after the 2013 Emmy awards, kicking off with an hour-long final season premiere for 'How I Met Your Mother,' and a host of other changes.

The new lineup will technically begin with 'Survivor''s 27th season on Wednesday, Sep. 18, leading into the 65th annual Emmy awards on Sunday the 22. Sep. 23 will see 'HIMYM''s hour-long premiere leading into '2 Broke Girls' season 3 and the premiere of Chuck Lorre's 'Mom,' followed by new drama 'Hostages.' The following week, 'We Are Men' will debut in the 8:30 p.m. slot behind 'HIMYM.'

The announcement contains relatively few surprises overall, slotting 'Intelligence' for a midseason debut on Feb. 24 and no premiere yet scheduled for 'Mike & Molly.'
