It seems like Charlize Theron is everywhere these days: she's got two hit movies in theaters right now, and is about to start production on another highly-anticipated film. And since we can't get enough of her around here, let's add another potential project to her calendar.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Theron is in talks to star in and produce 'Murder Mystery,' the next film from 'Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' director John Madden. In case you were wondering what the movie is about, the title pretty much spells it out, although there's apparently a comedy slant to the whole thing.

The screenplay, described as “an affectionate deconstruction of an Agatha Christie-style thriller” in which a honeymooning American couple are implicated in a murder they witnessed, is by James Vanderbilt, who wrote the brilliant 'Zodiac' and the upcoming 'RoboCop' remake.

Some are calling all this a comeback for Theron, starting with last fall's 'Young Adult,' but she's never really been away -- she just happens to have had a very busy year so far. She can be currently seen in 'Prometheus' and 'Snow White and the Huntsman,' and she's starting production now on 'Mad Max: Fury Road' opposite Tom Hardy, after which she'll probably tackle 'Murder Mystery.'

Madden himself seems to be having a bit of a career renaissance: after directing 1998 Best Picture winner 'Shakespeare in Love,' follow-up films like 'Captain Corelli's Mandolin' and 'Killshot' never found an audience (and in the case of the latter, never really found a theater to play in either). But 'Marigold Hotel' has been a surprise indie hit, earning $113 million worldwide.

Production on 'Murder Mystery' will start in the first quarter of 2013.
