It’s been a long road getting to air, losing stars like Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Stellan Skarsgard in the process, but Cinemax’s Quarry is finally ready to open fire. While we’ll have Outcast over the summer to tide us over from Banshee’s end, check out the new trailer for Cinemax’s intense new fall adaptation Quarry, based on the Max Allan Collins books.

Eyed for a fall 2016 premiere, the series stars Logan Marshall-Green, Jodi Balfour, Peter Mullan, Nikki Amuka-Bird and Justified alum Damon Herriman, as directed and executive produced by Greg Yaitanes and Steve Golin. Following Road to Perdition writer Max Allan Collins’ novel, so reads the full synopsis:

This drama series tells the story of Mac Conway, a Marine who returns home to Memphis from Vietnam in 1972 and finds himself shunned by those he loves and demonized by the public. As he struggles to cope with his experiences at war, Conway is drawn into a network of killing and corruption that spans the length of the Mississippi River.
